In Class Today Part Two: As the Sun Shines

In class today, we talked about Qi Gong theory: what it is and what it is not.

I focused on the need to practice and experience, successively, the classic forms. That Qi Gong most evolved by trial land error over the millenniums.

I talked about how Qi Gong can focus our attention on the way we create our lives; that collectively and individually, we are practicing a state of mind every second of every day. A state of mind, when repeated over time, can become habit; and habit may come to appear as things real. But, in fact, what is real--what you are doing, what is happening to you and how you are perceiving it--is changeable.

To begin Qi Gong is to change what you are doing, literally, in the most simple way. You are beginning to do exercises that you were not doing before. It's that simple. The exercises of Qi Gong begin to simplify you. The forms of Qi Gong take you past the distractions of life experience to a simple and pure experience of self. You are clarified and simplified.

A nuclear explosion upon the earth is a disaster of chaos, wreckage and harm. Yet the exact same process of the hydrogen bomb, nuclear fussion, is the process whereby the sun sets light and life upon the earth.

The simple and natural idea of life on earth is literally made possible by the fusion of two hydrogen atoms many times over happening in the Sun as life-giving warmth and light.

As the Sun, we are a power of our own, living in conjunction with all others and the Universe. When we know our place , it is possible to be as the Sun. However, when we are not aware of who we are to sufficient degree, our abilities can be distracted... chaos, wreckage and harm may ensue.

As human beings, we are very powerful; and our power is involved creating the form of our lives and the world in which we live.

The practice of Qi Gong simplifies our action and diminishes the power of mistake. Qi Gong allows the Perfected Self to emerge in a natural way... and become as the Sun shines.
