In Class Today Part One: The Qi of Needs

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

To gain personal power, it is important to know our true needs and not deny them. It is important to provide for our needs in a gentle and consistent way. John H.

In class today,
we talked about Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and how, if met consistently and to reasonable degree, these fulfilled needs successively create the foundation for the fullest potential of our Human Being--Self Actualization as Maslow called it.

I explained that in Qi Gong we take charge of this process in a literal way... by doing Qi Gong, by doing the forms, action or exercises of Qi Gong.... making our way of being self-actualized, clear and complete.

In practicing Qi Gong, we set the ground work or foundation for our needs to be met, so we can become who we are with greater ease.

As our needs are met and fulfilled successively, over time, we begin to realize there is no difference, no separation or distance between ourselves and our needs.

First there is realization, then there is becoming. Waiting is simply the requirement of time and space as these actions take place.

As we are perfected through the practice of Qi Gong, as our awareness grows and our distraction quiets down--there becomes no difference or separation between ourselves and what we need. If we hunger, food appears; if we thirst, drink arrives.
